Scholarship Program Impact
Evergreen Education Foundation has awarded scholarships to rural students who have outstanding academic performance and financial need. Students are mentored by our volunteers and staff to give them guidance and moral support. The scholarships and the mentoring impacted not only the students themselves, but in many cases, their whole families. Evergreen Scholarship-winning students also serve as role models for their fellow students or village peers. The volunteer experience in school library also instills the service spirit in these students. Many students volunteered in our library projects, international conferences and workshops since their college years, with a few becoming core members of our team after years of volunteering. Both students and mentors view the experience with our scholarship program as a fruitful journey.
